Many thanks to the Catholic Women’s League at Holy Rosary Church

Many thanks to the Catholic Women’s League at Holy Rosary Church

These hard-working women donated the proceeds of their 65th Anniversary Gala Dinner/Dance in November – over $6500! – to support building a residential hospice for Milton and Halton Hills.  Donors like you will help make our dream possible.

As outgoing President Nancy Fellows noted, it is fitting that on the CWL’s 65th anniversary in Milton they raised $6500 for our benefit. CWL executive members Nancy Fellows, incoming President Mary-Lou Nerbonne, Maria Reis, Margaret Doma, Jean Doiron, and Clare Cutrara were on hand to present the cheque to John Barrett and Holly Lillico of Townsend Smith Foundation. Lois Stubbs and Kathleen Dougan of the CWL were unable to attend. We are so grateful for their continuing efforts.

Townsend Smith Foundation’s Information Night

Townsend Smith Foundation’s Information Night

Info NightThanks to the many friends in our community who attended Townsend Smith Foundation’s information night on January 24th. Building a hospice is a huge undertaking, and your support is vital to our success!

We’d like especially to thank Father Peter Meyer, Corina Thomas and Dennis Herrero at Holy Rosary Church for the generous loan of their facility and resources, as well as McDonald’s Restaurant at Highway 25 and Market Drive, and Diego Sdao and Tim Horton’s for the refreshments. Where would we be without a place to meet, and good things to share!

If you or your group who would like to know more about building a hospice to serve Milton and Halton Hills, please contact us. We’re eager to share our project.

Thank you for making a difference!

Thank you to Seasons Milton, Edwina Doddington of the Escarpment Tea Room, Sarah Jensen of Right at Home Realty and EVERYONE involved with the 3rd Annual High Tea at Seasons Milton in September! All three seatings were sold out, and over $5000 was raised for Townsend Smith Foundation. Plans for next year are already under way. Take a look at some of our great photos in our website gallery!
