Death Cafe 2026

Based on the success and popularity of our last session, the Townsend Smith Foundation will be returning with another death cafe! Join us for a group-directed discussion where participants are free to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences about death in a respectful and relaxed environment. Registration is required as spots are limited. Registration is free, however donations are always welcome. We would encourage you to support our hosts by purchasing refreshments at the venue.
A Death Café is a group-led discussion about death. The goal of these spaces is to encourage and normalize conversations about this universal, yet not often talked about, experience. By becoming more aware of death, we can better appreciate and make the most of our finite lives.
This event will be facilitated by Anne Stewart, TSF Volunteer and founder of Holding Space Halton and the Townsend Smith Foundation, and provides a welcoming space for open-ended conversations. There are no formal agendas, objectives, or themes – just an opportunity to explore death as a natural part of life, reflect on personal perspectives, and connect with others over a topic that is often overlooked or misunderstood.
